I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas! I would normally apologise for the absence lately but you've all probably been the same - tucking into turkey, wine, chocolates (or equivalent) instead of leaning over your computer clicking through blogs which I am most certainly not sorry for! Unfortunately though, I got ill Christmas Eve which completely SUCKED and meant less turkey, wine and chocolates than I would normally have been satisfied with. In fact, I spent the majority of Boxing Day dozing off on any comfortable surface available (I was not excused from the family obligations despite sneaking off to bed at one point). Despite this, I still had a fabulous Christmas and am grateful for every moment I got to spend with my family.

Today's look is a very simple one (the imagination was lacking, I'll blame being sick) as I stuck with what I know works - a chunky Zara knit and my favourite over the knee Stuart Weitzman boots. Having had to 'dress up' for the duration of the festive period  (those who follow the majority of my posts will know this is not something I indulge in regularly) has meant I really want to go back to basics and monochrome in which I feel most comfortable.

New In: Stuart Weitzman

So today I was going to do an outfit post, however, if you live in England you will know that it has been raining non-stop for the last couple of days and I have therefore been unable to shoot any outfits. I am trying to do better quality posts and therefore compromising and shooting indoors is not an option. Hopefully the weather will be better at the weekend!

So these are my new Stuart Weitzman 'Nouveau' heels I picked up this week! They are stunning, I love them, enough said. Do you like them? They come in several different colours too!

The weather's been so bad in England lately, it has NOT stopped raining! I managed to pop out for about 5 minutes today to get some shots done but, as always when the rain stops and the sun comes out, it is not easy to get decent photos when there is glare everywhere! Plaid!

I love a trend that's easy to wear and will always come back around again and plaid/tartan is definitely one of those trends! I ( very luckily) managed to get a hold of this very much sort-after Zara number whilst shopping in Brighton on Monday despite my hopes being dashed by the lack of availability online. Do you like it?

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend, mine's been fairly quiet but lots of dinners with my Aunty Heather who's been visiting from Canada for two weeks which has been lovely.

Little Blue Jacket

Ok firstly, SO sorry about the lack of posts on here and Instagram this week! I've been really busy working and trying to sort stuff out I just haven't had the time to prepare any posts. However, I plan to get lots done this week to make up for it and have some new projects in the pipeline which is exciting!

Secondly, 300 followers!! Yay!! Thank you all so much for your support and all the lovely comments I receive, it's really encouraging and is making me want to do more exciting posts. I was thinking about doing a giveaway, so we'll have to see about that this week!

Leopard Print Sunday!

It's FINALLY been cold enough for me to wear this jumper (although it then got a little hot and I had to take it off, so maybe I was a little early)! So yay! I hope you've all had a good weekend and am looking forward to Monday morning.

Skinted or Minted

It's almost that time of year to start digging the boots out from the back of the closet and I can't wait! My favourite boots EVER are the '5050' Stuart Weitzman boots which have become increasingly popular over the last year. Mine have come out of their box and are sitting pretty just begging to be worn (expect to see them, A LOT, in the next few months!).

However, if the £410 price-tag is a put-off, H&M in their wonderfulness have brought out their own version for an excellent price! They look fantastic and I'm sure I'll see a lot of them around the blogosphere soon.

Sorry for the absence I'm currently between homes and have a lot going on! I hope you like this dress, I wore it recently but didn't get a chance to shoot it so I've reshot for the blog! Mandatory Zara Skort!

I know I know EVERYONE has one of these! BUT in my defence they are extremely comfortable and go with an awful lot. Besides, I'd thought I'd be a little different with the blue.

I managed to get a chance to shoot these extremely quickly today as the weather was nice. Less than a week to go till exams are over! YAY! (I have one today and I'm not excited). I hope you all have been having a lovely week, In the UK the sun has finally decided to show it's face (although it may want to hide again at the sight of my paleness!).

Dad's Birthday

Last Friday was my Dad's 50th birthday!! What an oldie! (I'm sure he'd appreciate my honesty here). Anyway, it was naturally FREEZING cold and POURING with rain but I refused to succumb to the horrible weather and as it was officially Spring I dressed for Spring (and yes I was cold for a little while).  Again, apologies for the poor photo quality! We went for a lovely meal and had a little too much to drink but it was worth it.

I would post a photo of the birthday boy but I think I'd be told off!
