Right let's get it out there, I know this look is weird - I completely get that but I had fun with it mixing two/three (??) trends into one. So there's the culottes (tick), the cricket jumper (tick), oversized sweater with flippy bottoms (tick)! I don't know why I feel I have to justify this look but here I am doing it anyway. I like it, it's comfortable and totally got me some weird stares (but who cares right?!).

So following on from yesterday's post, the cricket jumper I think is set to be a big trend for AW14 - it's a great transitional piece into the new season and helps me prolong letting go of summer. I am definitely craving the Rag and Bone one but don't think I can a) justify it and b) get hold of one even if I could! (although I found a really cool alternative here).

RIGHT. It's coming towards the end of August now so it's time to start thinking about AW14 (Ok, I probably should have started thinking a little before now). I've been compiling my wish lists and I have sweaters sweaters sweaters on the brain! I've already got a few in mind, so I'm looking forward to putting them up on the blog soon.

For the coming season I really want to incorporate the summer culottes trend - I just don't feel I made the most of it and will therefore make the upmost effort to carry on wearing them for as long as winter allows!

*Stands up* My name is Lucy and I have a problem - I'm getting just a little addicted to these ASOS culottes. I seem to be discovering new things in my wardrobe that they'll go with - sweaters, shirts, crop tops you name it they go with it. It's great to be able to wear something to work which is comfortable in this hot weather for us girls that are little skirt-shy.

So I will try not to do too many outfit posts in these but I ain't promising nothing!

I really love this look, this has to be my favourite culottes out of the two. These Topshop beauties are surprisingly easy to style and are so comfortable to wear. I will be living in these this summer on the super-hot days and occasions where the short-shorts are not permitted. I must apologise for my excessively pale skin, it's been a long winter here in England! I'm very fortunate to live near the beach and I've fallen in love with this location. It's quiet (if you're a street style blogger you will understand how nice it is to not have people walking past giving you funny looks all the time whilst trying to take photos!), it's beautiful (the sea!!) and so peaceful.

I've finally had a chance to wear these gorgeous Topshop culottes I bought last week. I know this trend isn't for everyone and many have their reservations about it but it's always fun to try these things out and see if it works for you or not. For me, I'm in love - they feel great, comfortable, floaty and perfect for summer. I've got a few outfits planned with these babies so expect to see a lot more culottes-related posts coming your way this spring/summer.

I would also like to wish you all a wonderful Easter! I hope you have a lovely time and don't get too sick from the all the chocolate! I've been on lent for the last 6 weeks having given up chocolate, cakes, biscuits etc. (if you follow me in Instagram you'll notice a distinct lack of cake-related posts) and therefore cannot WAIT to get my hands on the first Easter egg tomorrow morning (I was thinking instead of using a bowl for my Cornflakes half a chocolate egg will suffice....perhaps?).

I cannot wait to get my hands on these Topshop Culottes! I've been debating them for a little while and have decided I have to have them in my life (assuming they suit me, I haven't actually tried them on yet).
