Double Leather

Tuesday, 30 July 2013

Forget double denim, I've gone for double leather! I picked up this skirt the other day and fell in love with it! When I want to wear it casually, I stick my favourite pair of Supergas with it, a plain tee and I'm good to go!
Do you like it?
It's sodding raining again outside (don't like shooting inside!). It's been so sunny lately and I finally go to take pictures outside and now this. Oh well, here's hoping it cheers up later on this week! I also don't know what's going on with my camera today - it clearly isn't in the mood!

Black on Black.....on Black!

Tuesday, 11 June 2013

I have been told that I have a bit of an obsession with blacks, whites and greys. I don't know whether it is because they are easier to wear and style or they're just a favourite of mine - I would probably guess it's a mix of the two. I am currently obsessed with these little leather shorts I picked up from Zara not so long ago; they go with everything and are perfect for the 'leather trend' (especially if you aren't comfortable in a full-on leather outfit!).
It's started raining again in England after such a lovely sunny week previously so it's back to shooting inside (better than nothing right?!). Hopefully the weather will cheer up again next week so we can get some sun!
What do you think of this outfit? It's really comfortable and so perfect for hot summer days!

New in: Beauty

Monday, 13 May 2013

I'm really sorry about the lack of posts lately! I'm in the middle of exams :(. They finish next week so I should have plenty of outfit shots by then. I'm dying to post some I have some lovely new things to show you! (I did, in fact, have one done but accidently deleted it off my camera! Such a ditz) So in the mean time I thought I'd do a beauty post to review some of the new make-up and beauty products that I acquired recently.

Ok so I'm kind of developing a little obsession with Essie nail polish. I've only just recently discovered their wonder and I can't stop buying/using them! I was going to a party Saturday with the intention on wearing this lovely blue one but forgot to take it to work with me so went and bought 'lilacism' instead (Which was on my wish-list anyway). The blue one is called 'Lapiz of Luxury'.

They are amazing and they last for ages before chipping.
Next up are a couple of new Mac products. This is the "Superslick Liquid Eye Liner". It really is brilliant and lasts all day (it really hard to get off actually!). It has really easy application and the colour is thick and covers well. Worth the investment.
This eyebrow pencil from Mac is also fantastic. I have trouble finding a colour which complements my eyebrows as they are quite light but this darkens them without making it too obvious that I've used a brow pencil.

Finally there is the 'They're Real' mascara from Benefit. This is by far the best mascara I've laid my hands on! And for lucky Elle readers they are giving them away free in this month's issue. It is worth every penny and I shall be buying it from now on.

I hope you enjoyed reading and I promise I will try and get some outfit posts up this week (without deleting them by accident!).

Have a lovely week

Chanel Spring Collection

Sunday, 21 April 2013

I have to admit, I am loving the new Chanel nail polishes that came out this Spring. They are fresh and classic colours which are typical of Chanel. Of these new colours I would say that they are perfect for evening wear because, despite being for Spring, they are still quite dark; quite a contrast to last years 'May', 'June' and 'April'. These two are my favourites which I can't wait to wear!

What do you think?

Sorry about the weird picture sizes. I can't get them the same for some reason!

My absolute favourite is 'Cinema'. I'm going to put it on later.

Pinch Punch First of the Month

Monday, 1 April 2013

Hope everyone had a really good Easter! I'm not much of a chocolate person but haven't been able to resist the Lindt bunnies or mini eggs!!
I recently decided to try the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat highlighter instead of my usual Chanel concealer. I can't believe it's taken me this long to try it, I've heard so many good things and it's practically a make-up essential! I haven't been very well this week so sleep has been a luxury at best (the best time to invest in touché éclat in my opinion) so I needed something which will do the job well.
Whether I'll switch permanently from Chanel, who knows, but it is working miracles for me at the moment! Definitely worth the investment.

My Essentials

Wednesday, 27 February 2013

When I'm back at Uni I find myself not only busy all the time but also on a tighter budget than usual. As a first proper post I'm going to share what I consider my daily essentials, particularly when on a budget!

These are my must-haves which I cannot leave the house without using! I was told by a hairdresser that washing your hair every day does nothing for it, so I now have a new regime of washing my hair every other day (with exceptions) and have really noticed an improvement! Of course, at first your hair doesn't adjust as easily so as a simple fix I use Bastiste dry shampoo (availble in must drug stores) which works really well and doesn't weigh my hair down. I use the volumising one as my hair cna be quite flat sometimes.
As a student I find myself wanting good quality make-up but without the price tag. I find No7, available in Boots stores across the UK, is a fantastic alternative to high-end designers. If you see a consultant in store they will colour match your foundation for you (I use the 'Stay Perfect') and give great advice about what products to use. I also use their primer as it's really light and really good!

I know I said I'm on a budget but concealor is something I never skimp on! I use the Chanel Eclat Lumiere which is, in my opinion, as good as the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat. It's around £25 but worth every penny! It's the best concealor i've used and I need a good one! I've tried cheaper brands before and they just don't work well enough.
In the cold months I don't like to wear lipstick very often because of dry lips but as a solution I find dabbing a little Vaseline (a life saver if you ask me!) before applying lipstick it makes it appear a lot smoother without drying out your lips. In this post is the Revlon Matte lipstick in Nude Attitude.

Hope you enjoyed reading my first post!
