So, there's this thing in winter we're supposed to do and I guess I can understand it, and many fashion followers revel in the idea of it, but it's not always something that has come naturally to me and so I sometimes (most of the time) choose to ignore it for fear of looking a little too 'much' - LAYERING.

I know, I know it's one of the great things to look forward to during the Autumn/Winter months blah blah but don't you find it at all a little confusing? "At which angle does this scarf look better sitting?", "does this sweater look better on top, underneath, sideways of this sweater?" and so on (I could go on, I'm refraining). Isn't it easier to just keep things, well...simple?

This Mango shirtdress, for example, would utterly RUINED if I tried to add anything more than a pair of earrings to it (I tried adding a belt, it didn't help!). Admittedly it was f***king cold whilst shooting this look so the coat I had with me came in handy after we were finished, but it hid the dress - oh the shame of it! Alright I'll stop being dramatic, there's nothing explicitly wrong with layering and when perfected looks as stunning as ever. However, where there is an option to be minimal and keep things simple, I will because that is Just.How.I.Like.It.
