You Summer Style Sorted with FarFetch
It's nearly here guys, it's nearly here. I'm currently sat in a little coffee shop looking at the bright sunshine outside. It's a little chilly but the sun is there and it's really trying to get brighter and brighter. A lot of my posts (excluding Outfit shots) have been geared around getting ready for the warmer weather lately and that's a theme I'm most likely going to be continuing now I've put all my winter sweaters away and haven't looked at a scarf in about a month. It's time.
I wanted to share with you a FarFetch.com Infographic outlining some key trends that are going to be big this season and some of my favourite pieces from their website.
I feel like the 'dress-like-your-boyfriend' trend has been around quite a while now, but thinking about it, I can definitely see why this is a style that has stood strong over the last few seasons. It's classic, wearable to work (suits), at the weekend (we all love a good boyfriend jean) and versatile. I implore you to go and find one girl friend that doesn't own at least ONE piece of mens' clothing. I'm forever stealing clothes off my boyfriend!

If you've been following my blog for any period of time, you'll know I'm not a big 'high heels' fan. I wear heels, I have nothing against them, but if given the opportunity - I'll wear flats. Even for nights out I prefer to go to venues where trainers are a common theme! I prefer comfort thank you very much and to be able to dance all night without needing to walk barefoot home (we've all done it...).
Layering
A lot of people associate layering with the cold weather - which isn't a surprising association, but it's easy to layer in summer too! I always think Coachella festival dressing when I think summer layer - fringed waistcoats, denim jackets, bikinis layered with a couple of vests and tees.

The new 'IT' Sandal this Spring
Sandals: Tomas Maier
I'm starting to see these Tomas Maier leather sandals pop up more and more - could just be me but I'm thinking these little beauties could be the new Isabel Marants for this season?

How to do Gladiator Sandals if you're a Minimalist
Tunic: Topshop
Sunglasses: Wildfox at ASOS
Sandals: Stuart Weitzman
Back pack: Matt & Nat
As summer is fast approaching i've really been starting to think about the new Spring trends and what I want to introduce to my wardrobe this year. I've definitely started to dress more minimal and like to stick with simple basics (and anything that will go with a pair of boyfriend jeans!). A few trends that are standing out, yet again, this year are the Gladiator Sandals and the back packs - not that I'm complaining I LOVE these trends and I'm really glad to see them standing strong. So how does a minimalist incorporate these trends into their wardrobe? Easy....keep it simple! I love this Topshop tunic and I definitely think I may have to purchase it in a few different colours. But it's definitely an easy way to wear the sandals without it being too over-the-top.
What do you think of these trends?

New Ink
If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know that a few weeks ago I decided to get some new ink! I wasn't originally going to put this up on the blog as I always find tattoos, for me, very personal and I typically don't have them in obviously visible places. But seeing as I already posted it on social media, why not on here to?
I've had mixed reviews on this one; script is always very subjective. Adapted from a Kanye West and Paul Mccartney song (which attracts criticism on its own!) I was trying to think for a while what I wanted to get and this just seemed perfect, and something I believe in. Growing up you will make a lot of mistakes, it's part of the learning process and although your mistakes should be something which shape you into the person you are, you shouldn't be judged for them because they are in the past. They're not who you are today.
Usually I always add 'what do you think?' at the end of a post, but in this case I won't. Because I accept that this isn't going to appeal to everyone, but was something I wanted to share nonetheless.
I hope you're all having a wonderful week!

Button Down Denim Skirt
T-shirt: Cos
Skirt: Zara (similar)
Shoes: Topshop
Sunglasses: Rayban
I'm completely in love with this button down denim skirt I got from Zara recently! It's just so God damn cute! (and I don't really 'do' cute...). I feel so 90s I love it. Paired with these Topshop lace up shoes I got some funny stares but I don't care, because to me this outfit just 'fits', if that makes sense?? It just works, for me anyway.

Girlfriend Jeans
Shirt: H&M
Jeans: BDG at Urban Outfitters
Sunglasses: Rayban
This outfit is a result of a shopping trip geared around buying new clothes for work...clearly I was incredibly focussed and came away with these outrageously comfortable Girlfriend Jeans from BDG which I could probably just about get away with on dress down Friday. Back to the drawing board on that one! However, these jeans are definitely not a purchase I regret, they are so lovely I'm probably going to get the darker, shorter version too! My Mum was also eyeing them up....maybe I should hide them when I visit.
I was also brave enough to wear these black Topshop lace up flats; they're a little unusual but I really like that about them! I can't wait to pair them with little skirts for summer to poke them out from under a maxi dress.
I hope you've all had a great weekend! It's been a long weekend here in the UK and shockingly, it rained.

New In: Lace Up Flats
Shoes: Topshop
I keep seeing those Aquazurra lace up flats everywhere at the moment! They are so, SO chic and seem to wearable with almost anything. I couldn't, therefore, resist when I found these Topshop copies when shopping with my bestie yesterday (she did encourage, I was a little unsure)! Now I've got them home and tried them with everything from skirts to jeans I'm convinced they are staying and I cannot wait to show them off in an outfit post!
What do you think of this trend? Would you wear these or not?
